Well this is a day I will not forget in a long time, the lesson I learnt many years ago came back to remind me..... NEVER ringside judge and always judge the dogs on the day as you see them in front of you. There is a lot that has been said about this dog and I just don’t want to repeat what many have said. If I am honest, in this dog’s younger days he never really appealed to me from the ringside. I had also made this feeling known. So when he walked into this class I was very surprised but as I was going over him all I could think was wow he has all the right bits in all the right places now wonder he has won so much and boy can he move. His head is a stunning piece of masculinity but soft at the same time. Good reach of neck. Well laid shoulders, Elbows tucked in but the volume of the coat makes you feel for them. Table top topline. Not too big and not too small. The complete all round picture. I could not deny him the CC and the ref was called for Best In Show and he rightfully deserved to win it. |

My co judge Mea Kendall and myself, both preferred our own choices for BIS, so we called for the referee Pam Rayner who decided on the dog, we agreed to the bitch for RBIS. We also agreed for the blen dog puppy Pascavale Banksy for BPIS, a small well balanced male of 11 months, typy head with the most lustrous eyes. BVIS was the bitch, unfortunately there was no veteran dog to challenge but she is a worthy winner.
