Many thanks to the officers and committee of NICKCS for inviting me to judge at this show. I was disappointed not to do it last year, but good things are worth waiting for! Special thanks to Hazel who worked so efficiently behind the scenes and organized a very special gift for me. Thank you to my two excellent ring stewards who kept everything running so efficiently and valiantly battled the cold wind, which was necessary to protect us all. It was an honour to judge so many top class dogs and youngsters. Although numbers were lower, I was delighted with the quality, especially in the blenheims. Conformation and movement were overall very good, as was presentation. I found some to be too strong in head for me but was delighted with my main winners. I would have loved to have seen more tricolours, but I was thrilled to award Best in Show to a fabulous wholecolour who filled my eye.

So well-constructed, elegant reach of neck, well laid-back shoulders, level topline, well sprung ribs, good turn of stifle he strode around the ring with aplomb. Attractive blenheim of excellent size. Lovely temperament. Excellent construction throughout, she had to move beautifully. Correct head with large dark eyes, would just have preferred more fill in muzzle.

Feminine blenheim in good coat and condition. Most appealing head with large dark eyes, black nose pigment and sweet expression. Elegant arched neck with well laid-back shoulders, level topline and good rear. So well balanced she moved and showed well. Top quality. Shortlisted to final 4 for CC. BEST PUPPY BITCH
2nd Egan’s Ryhars A Million Dreams
Very close up to the winner with excellent conformation, coat and condition. For me, the best head of the day, correct skull and earset, well tapered but filled muzzle, huge lustrous dark eyes and dense nose pigmentation. Unfortunately, she lacked confidence on the day and did not show herself off to advantage.
