Dogs Miss V Cox (Petitpaws)
I have a special affection for this breed as it was with a Blenheim Cavalier that I made by first foray into the show ring in my younger days. I haven’t judged the breed for a few years so all the dogs were new to me and what a treat I had in store. A great numerical entry and a fantastic line up for my top honours, with a number of dogs and bitches both in the challenge and some of the other class placings clearly of CC quality and I hope that they go on to reach their potential. On the other hand I did find some that lacked the melting expression, general balance and elegance that epitomises the breed. Please don’t forget to clean teeth and tear stains as part of your dog’s grooming regime.

1st Wileman & Bott’s Granasil Trick Or Treat for Narvidar
This outgoing and enthusiastic black and tan boy caught my eye straight away for his overall shape and balance, maturity helped and he was shown in super condition with his raven black silky coat and rich tans. Attractive masculine head and large dark round eyes giving him a soft expression. Nicely laid shoulders, level topline and excellent tail set. Moved confidently. BPD and was very happy to award him Best Puppy in Breed.
2nd Godwin’s Cavaliegh Genova
Another quality pup, this time a richly coloured and well-marked Blenheim. I liked his size and well balanced outline. Most attractive head, high set ears, excellent nose pigment, and large dark eyes all aiding his gentle expression. Nicely laid shoulders, level topline and well-turned stifles all topped off with silky well-presented coat. Moved confidently and soundly away and back. Just not quite as mature as the winner at the moment but has bags of promise.

1s Parson’s Peakdowns Marcopolo at Anjomil
Appealing Blenheim boy who stood out for me in this class. Liked his size and well balanced outline which he retained standing and on the move. Handsome well marked head, well set ears, dark eyes and excellent pigment. Very good neck and shoulders with a good topline and hind angulation. Well-presented silky coat which is richly coloured and well broken. Moved very confidently with a free flowing action, a very pleasing exhibit with a lovely expression.
2nd Blackburn’s Bekenveldt Grand Finale
Another very attractive Blenheim full of quality and close up to winner. Pleasing masculine head, flat skull, high set ears, and dark eyes and nicely filled under eyes to give a soft expression. Well laid shoulders, elegant neck flowing into level topline. Shown in great coat, soft and silky to the touch and super body condition. Moved soundly away and back and looked particularly good in profile.

Super little ruby who caught my eye straight away. Lovely size and shape and nicely constructed right through. Appealing masculine head, large dark eyes which are well filled beneath and long ears framing his soft face. Well laid shoulders, level topline and well set on and held tail. Well-presented richly coloured silky coat. He has lovely free movement, straight and true and shows happily too.
2nd Biddle’s Hearthfriend Snooze Mood
Blenheim boy and another who is nicely constructed just not quite as forward as the winner as yet needing a bit more body and coat to complete the picture. He has a lovely head and expression with large dark eyes and dense nose pigment. Well laid shoulders, level topline and well angulated hindquarters. Attractive rich chestnut markings and gleaming white background. Moves soundly and happily. Just needs time.

1st Lovel’s Pascavale Hudson at Lovetrac
Headed a strong class. Loved this glamorous little Blenheim boy, a real toy spaniel and maturity helped him here. Beautiful head, and expression with a soft but masculine outlook, lovely eyes, dense black nose pigment and the longest of ears framing his face. Well-constructed throughout, with elegant neck, well laid shoulders and level topline. Shown in pristine condition with well broken silky coat. Came into his own on the move, gliding around the ring, he looked a picture. In with a shout of top honours, I’m sure we’ll be hearing more of him.
2nd Hughes’ Loranka’s Believe In Dreams
Top quality little tri-colour boy not long out of puppy so giving a bit away in terms of maturity, but another out of the top drawer, ideal size and lovely balanced outline. Gorgeous head, masculine yet so soft with large dark eyes with good fill underneath all giving a melting expression. Good front and reach of neck flowing into level topline which he retained at all times. Well-marked silky coat shown in gleaming condition. Moved out so soundly with an easy free flowing gait and proud head carriage. Just needs a little more time, but I thought him very promising.
Novice (4, 1)
1st Levy & Sedgwick’s Pascavale Kyle
Eye catching and ideal sized Blenheim who scores highly for his overall shape and balance both standing and on the move. Beautiful head and soft expression with large dark round eyes and high set ears and such a gentle expression, yet still masculine. Front and rear angulations are good, nice reach of neck giving him elegance and tail is set on well too. Richly marked silky coat presented in pristine condition. Impressive movement, gliding around the ring soundly and with such ease. Undoubtedly CC quality.
2nd Bloice’s Scotlass Magic Moment
Tricolour boy who is well constructed but still needs to develop in body and drop into his frame. Masculine head, ears set high with flattish skull and large dark eyes. I would like a touch more fill under eyes to enhance his expression. Well laid shoulders, level topline, short coupled with good angulation. Moved well keeping his level top line, just not quite as tidy coming towards today.
