I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge my first championship appointment at this very well run show, I thoroughly enjoyed my day with the help of my two stewards who kept me on my toes. Just one criticism I feel needs addressing is eyes, I found a lot of small eyes with no expression, our lovely breed is known for its large expressive dark eyes that give that soft expression, I do feel this needs to be watched. I have one thing on my mind at the moment and that is………WHO MADE THOSE MOREISH WELSH CAKES.??????

Bitches Mrs C Wright (Ankris)
I would like to thank the Committee for inviting me to judge the bitches at this welcoming, well run show. Such an honour to judge a Club Championship show. I enjoyed my day very much and my thanks to my stewards Andrew ’ Ruth. Also many thanks to the exhibitors for the welcome and for the large entry which was nothing short of pure quality that made many decisions hard and I really wish I had had more prize cards to award .
Our breed standard calls for skull almost flat between the ears shallow stops and moderate bone. It pleased me immensely to see this on almost all of the exhibits. All of my placings were very much of the same type and I apologise for repeating myself!!. Going on from this the future of the breed appears to be in good hands and each and everyone exhibiting today should be very proud of their lovely girls.

What a beautiful well broken Blen. She has such a lovely head, good earset, well tapered muzzle and dark expressive eyes you can get lost in. So very well made throughout with a good front, reach of neck and shoulder placement. Lovely spring of rib, well muscled strong hindquarters and turn of stifles. Good tailset. Just coming back into full coat. I loved her standing and in profile showing off her overall shape. Her movement is so good she just glides around the ring wagging her tail and very much at one with her handler. What I also loved about her is her attitude to showing and the way she kept glancing over at me as if to say "look at me". In the challenge I found myself just being drawn back to her and was delighted to award her the CC (her 5th) and later with my Co Judge’s approval BOB & BIS. Congratulations. A lovely example of the breed.
