I would like to thank Richmond Championship Dog Show for inviting me to judge their show. Also a big thank you to my two stewards for all their help on the day. I would also like to thank the exhibitors for showing their dogs to me. Overall I was very pleased with the quality, type, temperament and presentation of the dogs today.

A ruby of 8yrs. Well boned, Broad chest giving plenty of heart room. Masculine head with well set ears, plenty of coat on a firm body. moved positively round the ring.

1st Hutchin’s Frondil’s Office Ed
Pretty headed Ruby with round dark eyes. A Lovely straight richly coloured coat covering a well-made body. Moved well round the ring showing his happy temperament.
2nd Kowalski’s Harelledream Warrior
A black and tan of similar type and size to my first. Pretty headed with dark round eyes. Moved well just not the texture of coat of the first.

1st Bubb & Barrett’s Wandris Evanly Legacy
Well-marked blenheim with good bone. Handsome head with correct ear set, dark eyes and black pigment. Still carrying his fluffy baby coat but can see a wealth of coat coming. Well-made body which showed in his effortless movement.
2nd Hughes’ Loranka’s Believe In Dreams
A pretty headed tri puppy with lots to like about him. Correct size for age, moved soundly. Very much a baby now but a star in the making.

Looking at my critique it starts with, love him. He’s Just what I was looking for. The head, expression, size, confirmation, movement, coat, coat texture, presentation, markings and temperament. One I considered for higher honours he just didn’t go so well in the challenge but I’m sure his day will come soon. Best Puppy.
2nd Smith’s Beaudale Storm In A Teacup
Another promising puppy. A Black and tan with an appealing head. Dark eyes, correct ear set, with rich tan on a shiny black coat. Short well-made body with level top line and tail carriage. moved well.

1st Crane’s Cranvarl Washington JW
Heavier richley marked Blenheim with coat of good texture. Loved the head of this boy with his big dark round eyes, correct amount of filling to muzzle, black nose pigment and using his ears to give that cavalier expression. Moderate neck leading to well-placed shoulders. Holding top line and tail carriage on the move. I was pleased to award him the RCC.
2nd Player’s Granasil Piccolo at Anickily
A richley coloured Ruby of lovely size. Nice head with dark eyes and good pigment. Moved well.

Well-marked Blenheim with loads of coat. Handsome head with black nose pigment and dark eyes. Moved well in profile carrying a level top line and Tail carriage.
2nd Bennett’s Honeybet Happy Talk
Handsome headed dog with plenty of bone. Moved positively around the ring showing off his wealth of coat.

Richley coloured Blenheim. Appealing head with good ear set And black nose pigment. Lovely filling under eyes. Moved well just can be a little lazy standing.

1st Bubb’s Jordanic Evanly Touch Wandris JW
Handsome headed Blenheim. Dark round eyes, good nose pigment, lovely outline and lots of well-marked coat. Moved well just would have liked a little more animation.
2nd Cullen & Parker’s Chlojade Shooting Star
Heavier marked tri with rich tan markings. Liked his size and shape. Pretty head with those dark eyes and black pigment. Moved well just needs a bit more maturity.

Lovely sized blenheim. Pretty head with beautiful eyes and good pigment. Moved really well.

1st Levy & Sedgwick’s Pascavale Tommy
What a head turner. A born star. Loved him from the moment I saw him and on closer inspection I was not disappointed. Ticked all my boxes. Eyes to die for, black nose pigment, well cushioned muscle, correct ear set, all coming together to give this gorgeous head. Good bone for size, loads of excellently presented coat on a well-constructed body. Just gliding round the ring with ease, never putting a foot wrong. So very pleased to award him the CC & BOB.
2nd Tarabad & Whitman’s Khatibi Bark Obama JW
Loved the size and shape on this black and tan. Loads of Raven black coat of correct texture. Presented beautifully. Handled expertly. Moved perfectly. Just lost out on the head of my 1st.
3rd Rhodes’ Calonlan Cafe Noir

Another quality exhibit from this kennel. Gorgeous head with a melting expression, correct ear set and black nose pigment and eyes to die for. Well broken markings on a well-made body. Handled and moved well.
2nd Watts’ Jamesbonny Josey Wales JW
Handsome headed Blenheim of good size. Loads of well broken coat on a good body. Moved well just not as animated as my first.
3rd Barwell’s Charlottetown Cecil

A ruby of 7 years. Still with great pigment and lovely eyes, loads of richly coloured coat. moved OK.

Pretty headed Blenheim with dark eyes and black pigment. Loved the size and shape on this bitch. Plenty of coat that I would have preferred a bit richer in colour. moved well.
2nd Cox’s Magiro Snow Princess for Fujairah
Sweet little Blenheim which her size and movement won her the 2nd place in this class. Pretty face, just needs a little more filling under the eyes. richly coloured coat of a good texture.

A black and tan Bitch of lovely type. Appealing head, rich tan on a shiny black coat. Very cute puppy who moved well for age. Lots to like. Will watch her with interest.
2nd Brooks’ Moonvale Martini
A richly well marked Blenheim of good breed type. With lovely dark eyes and good pigment. Stood well but could be a bit lively on the move which will settle with time.

Well broken richly coloured Blenheim. Nicely balanced in body. Attractive head with big dark eyes with ample cushioning and well set ears giving a gentle expression. Good neck and shoulders, moved really well when settled. Best Puppy Bitch.
2nd Taylor’s Vonnyisle Portia at Taybar
Another well-made bitch. A bit finer in face, just needing more filling under eyes and in muzzle. Loads of coat for age. Moved great.

1st Tarabad & Whitman’s Khatibi Amber Lynne
Very pretty headed Ruby with lovely eyes and pigment. Won this class on her shape, size, movement and showmanship. One I considered for top honours.
2nd Brewer & Moody’s Charlottetown Dream Thyme
This blenheim caught my eye going round the ring. Great little mover. Ample richly coloured coat covering a well-made body. Head off good portions. Balanced right through.
3rd Holbrook’s Vonnyisle Ice Princess

1st Rhodes’ Calonlan Pretty In Pink
And pretty she is. Won this class on her overall balance, her movement and the fact she never stopped showing.
2nd Hughes’ Loranka’s So Scrumptious
Feminine headed blenheim. Richer in colour but not as balance as the first. Moved well and held a good top line and tail carriage.
3rd Morrison’s Lewisisle Highland Betsy

A Ruby of a slightly larger mould than the first. Head very appealing with her big eyes, good pigment and excellent ear placement, giving a lovely gentle expression. Moved well.

1st Macalpine’s Delhaze Dolly Daydream with Annatika JW
Well-marked blenheim with lots of coat. A head to die for, eyes the best of the day, correct ear set and pigment black, well cushioned muzzle giving you the most gorgeous head. Moderate neck, good shoulders, level top line and correct tail carriage. Moving straight coming and going though she can at time loose her stride, when she gets going she’s a picture to see. RCC.
2nd Bloice’s Scotlass Paper Rainbow
A pretty headed tri with lovely dark eyes and rich tan. Not in her full coat today but should soon come. Moved well.

Ultra-feminine Blenheim. the star of the bitches today. Perfect size and shape, so well made she couldn’t put a foot wrong. Handled so well and a personality plus that she never stopped showing. Exquisite head, ears full and long, eyes large round and dark, excellent nose pigment and just enough filling to give that soft expression, but keeping her Feminine features. Very happy to award her the CC.
2nd Smith’s Sallcott Hallelujah Chorus
Richly coloured Ruby of ideal size and well balanced in body. Lovely eyes and gentle expression. Showed well and presented beautifully.
3rd Hogan’s Miletree Ophelia at Stavonga JW

Small compact blenheim with loads of well broken straight silky coat. Pretty headed bitch with lovely eyes, just needing a bit more filling to face to complete the picture. moved well just not showing to best today.
