Minor Puppy (4 Entries, 1 Absent) Super class to start with – all 3 wonderful examples of the breed and I wouldn’t be surprised if all of them press hard for their titles in time.
1st Coole’s Jolainey Frederick
Winner today more forward than 2 and 3, being more settled when moving. 6.5 months, well broken blen. Glorious headpiece, skull almost flat; round large limpid eyes giving him a super expression. All of a piece even at this young age, beautiful angles front and rear, good depth to chest and firm topline. Tail set just off his back, and carried level and happily when moving. Super sound and moves out freely with drive. A really lovely young dog who’s future must be assured. Strong contender for RBD.
2nd Goodwin’s Lanola Santos
Another promising puppy, who I am sure, will swap places with 1 in the future, not as mature in body as 1 yet but being only 6 month this will all come in time. Head of a good shape, with large dark eyes. Really nice to go over, with everything fitting neatly even at this early age, lovely layback of shoulder and good brisket, good spring of rib and short loin. Well muscled quarters enabled him to move well away with drive, and good reach when returning in front. Good side profile when going around just tends in flag his tail a little too high.

2nd in Minor Puppy
2nd Spencer’s Jamesbonny Spencer Tracy
Up to size, well broken blen. Reasonably good head with large dark eyes and well set ears. Decent to go over, with good lay of shoulder and enough depth of chest. Well sprung ribs and good short loin. Table top topline with tail set bang off. Well muscled hindquarters which allowed him to move out well and soundly.
Veteran (3, 1)
1st Mangham’s Garlouchi Just Magic of Charnavale JW
7½ year old well broken blen boy who just loves his time in the show ring. Well made dog who has a correct, well balanced outline when standing and full of breed type. Masculine head of the correct shape, with large dark expressive eyes. Good neck leading into well placed shoulders. Well sprung ribs leading into a good short loin. Held his topline well at all times. Tail set correctly and never stopped wagging. Moved with such ease around the ring and ever so soundly. BVIB & BVIS.
2nd Jullian’s Lodelyndies Quest For Fame
Happy tri boy who seemed to love his day out today. Good head and large, dark eyes with good pigment. Seems to be loving his veteran days by eating a little too many biscuits, but who can blame him?!. Moved happily and steadily around the ring.
Junior (5, 2)
1st Davies’ Salegreen Brecon
Judged this boy before and he seems to be improving every time I see him. Beautifully presented in a rich chestnut jacket on a pearly white background. This young man has a lovely outline, being compact, well balanced and ideal for size. He has a super head, with good cushioning and fill beneath his large lustrous eyes. Well feathered long ears, set high. Well constructed throughout, with good angles front and rear, lovely ribbing and short loin. For me, he drops at little too much at the croup and his tail is a fraction low set. He moves out soundly and with plenty of drive from the rear. Handled to advantage.
2nd Ireland’s Charnell Hogan
A really lovely toy spaniel with so much to like, so well balanced and compact, presenting a lovely shape when standing. Nice to go over on the table, with correct head and expression, lovely, large dark eyes. Good depth of brisket, with nice neat elbows, decent spring of rib but not as good as 1 and short loin. Lovely topline when standing and moving and his tail is set bang on; and carried well when moving. Moves soundly away and back and with a good profile movement. I would’ve liked to see him a little more animated throughout.

1st Norris’ Cinderaic Are You Kidding Criscan
Smart, well broken blen dog with a lot to like. Ideal for size, a little long in back for me not giving that exact balance I was looking for. Super head with a clear blaze, large dark eyes giving a soft expression. Flattish skull and well set high ears, framing his head perfectly. Good length of neck leading into well placed shoulders. Decent depth of chest and well sprung ribs. Well angulated hindquarters with plenty of muscle which he used well as he enthusiastically moved around the ring with his ever constant wagging tail.
2nd Earl’s Earlrae Little Wizard
Small, compact B/T dog with rich tan marking, He was very much full of life today and extremely hard work for his owner. Good head and lovely large dark eyes. Well feathered dark ears framing his head nicely. Well put together, with everything flowing into place. Well boned forelegs and correct round feet. Muscled hindquarters. A little erratic on the move today but once settled could see he was sound both coming and going.

1st Mangham’s Castlewytch Perfection of Charnavale
Well broken tri boy, who is heavier built than I normally prefer but he has so many other qualities, his win here today could not be denied. Masculine head of the correct shape, with large, lustrous eyes. Well cushioned foreface and good nose pigment. Skull almost flat between his well set, feathered ears. Excellent to go over with good depth to chest, well boned forelegs and round tight feet. Good spring of rib and short loin. Level top line, tail could be set a little higher. Well angulated hindquarters with good muscle tone which he used well to move around the ring so soundly and with drive. Presented in first class order.
2nd Newell’s Corbieanne Charlotte Boy
Up to size, well broken blen dog, with good breed type. Decent head, not the work my winner has and lacks pigment to one eye, but of a good shape and has flattish skull between his high set ears. Good neck and shoulders, with correct depth to chest and well boned forelegs. Well sprung ribs and short loin. Level topline and correct tail set. Moved out positively with some drive.

One who I have done well before and always admired from the side of the ring. Beautifully marked 3 year old blen dog. Superb, masculine head, with large dark expressive eyes & well filled beneath. Excellent nose pigment. Lovely skull, almost flat between his well feathered, long ears. So lovely to go over with everything flowing into place. Good length of neck with nice arch, leading into well placed shoulders. Good depth of chest and correct spring of rib leading into a nice short loin. Topline held level at all times with his tail set correctly off his back which he uses to advantage all the time. Moves with such fluidity & style around the ring and so sound. Presented and handled to perfection. My easy BD here today and challenged the beautiful bitch hard for BOB. A really lovely boy.

1st Goodwin’s Lanola Santuzza
Promising blen puppy with a lot to like. At only 6 months old still needs a lot of maturing to do but all is the right place. Lovely outline, well balanced. Very pretty head, with expressive dark eyes and good cushioning to her muzzle. Good length of neck leading into well laid shoulders. Level topline held firm at all times. Good body for age with enough spring of rib. Moved out very confidently, the most settled in the class and ever so sound. Just tended to flag her tail a little too high.
2nd Koster’s Harana Peggy Lee
Very pretty rich Ruby with a lot to like. Super make and shape and so well balanced when standing. Very feminine head of the correct shape, still needs a little more fill under her large dark eyes but hopefully this will come with age. So lovely to go over, being a nice chunky puppy, we good bone and depth and excellent spring of rib. Firm topline held well with her tail set correctly off her back. Not the most confident on the move yet but once she got going she was very sound. Presented in 1st class order.

1st Coole’s Jolainey Rosabella
The star of the day and a true toy spaniel. Loved everything about her, her head is of similar mould to all from this kennel, ever so pretty, with large dark eyes and wonderful pigment, skull almost flat between her well feathered ears and to add to her appeal, a lovely large ‘spot’ perfectly placed right in the centre of her head. Lovely lay of shoulder and return of upper arm, giving her a decent neck and enhancing her outline. Firm topline standing and when moving with her tail bang on and never stopped wagging! In great muscletone all through, and presented in a perfectly broken chestnut jacket. She moved ever so soundly, with good reach and drive. I thought she was really lovely. BB, BOB and later BIS.
2nd Pipkin’s Salegreen My Delphinium for Ryanmill

This one I could have popped in my handbag and taken home with me, I just loved everything about her! Well broken, 9 month old blen, ideal for shape and size and so well balanced. So full of promise. Beautiful head of the correct shape, still needs time to fill under the eyes but this will come with maturity. High set ears framing her head well. Excellent length of neck leading into well placed shoulders. So well bodied for her age, with a good spring of rib and excellent depth to chest. Correct short loin. Moderately boned forelegs, and lovely feet too. Well angulated behind with enough muscle for her age. She moved around the ring with such style & confidence, her head held high and wagging her perfectly set tail constantly. Her overall enjoyment for life won me over and I was delighted to award her BPB & BPIB. A strong challenger for RBB. I am sure she is going to have a very exciting future.

Large, expressive dark eyes with good fill beneath and correct cushioning to her muzzle. Good length of neck leading into well placed shoulders. Well sprung ribs and nice short loin. Level topline with tail set correctly off her back. Well angulated hind quarters. Moved out freely, would like to see her a little neater behind. Ever the showgirl with her tail wagging nonstop.
2nd Coole’s Jolainey Whizadora
Litter sister to my BB and many of the same comments apply to her. A little heavier all over than her sister and possibly carrying a little too much weight today but she has many qualities that I liked. Another with a super head, such lovely dark eyes and a truly melting expression. She was so good to go over, all of a piece. Super front, lovely shoulders and chest, well boned and nice feet. Lovely ribbing and loin, firm backline and neat underline. Well angulated in rear, and lovely muscle over her quarters. Level topline with her tail set right off. Moved out well and soundly.
